The Prayer of the Day Audio Version
Father God, Holy God, Supreme Sovereign LORD GOD Creator, YAHWEH! Thou are God there is no other. You are the great fixer, the problem solver, the way maker, the trouble shaker, You can bring day out of our darkest night, Bright Sunshine after the Rain, Peace in the midst of the Storm.
Father, when we were young, we would wonder what folks were talking about when they ascribed all the many and various solutions to You, but as the years unfolded we learned from our experiences that indeed if it had not been for the LORD on our side, we don’t know how we would have made it through, so Father, in view of all You have done for us, in view of all the Great Provisions You have made for us, in mind of all the times You have stilled the storm, or made the Way, we just want to say Thank You, Father.
Father, We would like to just Praise Your Holy Name, ascribe Worship and Glory and Honor unto You the Most High, whose Mercy is never ending, whose Compassion knows no bounds, who is Very LOVE! and we praise You!
Father, as we bow before you, we must take a little time and ask first that You forgive all of our sins, all the lowly desires of our hearts, all the evil intentions of our minds, every unclean and unforward thought, and every perversion of Your goodness and Holiness, we lay these all at the foot of the Cross, there to be cleansed by the drippings of the drops of Royal Blood, that Blood that flows from the sacrifice of the Lamb, That blood that Bought us back from the penalties of sin, that blood that makes us whole again, that Blood.
Father, we rise ready to pick up our Crosses and begin carrying them, mindful that the carrying of the cross has a destination, that as we carry the cross we are headed to the place of execution, recognizing that as we serve You as we walk in our slavery, that the reward here for our service, for calling on the name of the LORD is the privilege of being Crucified with You, and thus we shall be beaten, bruised, spat on, our reputations sullied, our motivations slandered, our righteousness ridiculed, and ultimately we willed be nailed to our precious cross, while bearing the burdens of others, and thus we will begin to commune with our precious Jesus, and understand His sorrows as He understands and intercedes for ours.
Father, we believe that thus, being faithful unto death, You will resurrect and restore us on that day and we shall wear a crown. Father, we so thank You for the privilege of slavery, servitude and ministry, the opportunity to suffer, sacrifice, and die with Christ, that we may one day, to be resurrected with Him and know eternal glory. Father, we thank you for the empowerment and communion of the Holy Spirit, the fellowship of the Saints, The Sacrifice of Jesus and the gift of Salvation unto everlasting life, and Father, we let You know that we are so grateful that if You never do anything else for us in this life, we are overwhelmed in the JOY of the Lord as a believer covered in a peace that passes all understanding.
Father, we ask that You bless all of the prayers of the Saints as we become more and more a people of prayer, and especially empower our prayers of intercession, as we make these and all other requests known before Your throne of Mercy, Grace and Peace, eternal in the Heavens, in the Mighty and Matchless Name of Jesus, and by the Power of His Blood, Amen.
