Father God, Holy God, we bow before you this day with a repentant spirit and a contrite heart, laying our sins and transgressions at the foot of the cross, in knowledge of Your goodness, faithfulness and mercy to forgive us and wash us clean in the blood of Jesus. We thank You, Father for You and You alone have the power to present us faultless before Your throne. Hallelujah.
Father, I tremble at the thought that there will be many that will never know you or seek your face. Father, the night draws near when no man may work, empower us Oh Lord, instill in us a heart for those who know you not, to preach, proclaim and proselytize Your Word to the very ends of the earth, into the dark corners of this world. Let us greet the saints in love recognizing that our love of one another is the nurturing ground for all the worship, praise and service we shall offer to You, Oh Lord. Let judgment begin in the household of faith, let the family of God be knit and bonded in love, hope, joy, peace and all the fruit of the Spirit. Lord, may we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, setting our soul and spirit in perfect communion.
Father at the end of this day may we have exhausted every opportunity to have worshipped You in the beauty and glory of holiness. May we retire this day, in the knowledge that we left no good work undone, that we addressed every requirement and request of Your will upon our life, and thus rest in your perfect peace and slumber, all this we pray in the heavenly, holy name of Jesus, and the power of His blood, amen.
